Important Parent Information about new Check-in System
We live in a day and age where we must keep kids safe and secure and that looks different than what it did 20 or even 10 years ago. Some of the situations we could encounter are: custody issues, visitors that could possibly be predators, keeping a record of food allergies, a way to inform leaders if there are things they need to be aware of, like a child is special needs or other health issues. We also will only allow our background checked volunteers in our kid’s area. Having a check-in system also allows for growth. Insurance companies are raising standards on child safety and for good reasons. We want to do our best to provide a safe and secure environment for the children that attend Kid’s Connection at Dixon Assembly of God.
Here is what the check-in system process will look like on a typical Sunday:
 - Parents will come downstairs with their child or children to check them in at our check-in desk, which will be located at the bottom of the stairs by the Gideon sword.
 - Friendly volunteer will greet you and type your name in, locate child in system, for the first few weeks we will update allergy info and whether or not parent is ok with their teen child(if they have one) to pick up younger siblings, if you are a visitor and not in the system we will gather parents name and phone number and add them and their child in the system
 - A label will be printed out and placed on your child
 - All kids will be sent to the gym with staff, babies will go to the staffed nursery
 - When service is over, check out will be in the gym to prevent a bottle neck in the hallway, we will have PreK kids in the gym at that time as well, parents, or teen sibling, if parent has consented to that, will go to the check-out desk and check their kids out
 - If kids are outside playing, we will have a teen volunteer retrieve your child from outside and send them in to you in the gym.
